Frisco ISD's Independent Study and Mentorship Program (ISM) provides an unparalleled opportunity for passionate high school juniors and seniors to immerse themselves in their desired fields and understand the specific career's technicalities, struggles and rewards. Pushing the envelope of their academic boundaries, students actively shadow a mentor in their field on frequent visits, gain valuable real-world experience,

 and develop thoughtful and insightful research on their observations. The students' year-long research is compiled into a presentation showcasing the depth of the students' inquiry and their work's impact on their desired field.
